This is me and my lovely bride Elaine, on our last vacation before embarking on the amazing journey of opening our first restaurant. This picture is slightly skewed. I'd like to think my nose isn't really that big, but of course I'd be wrong, and it may look like I'm slightly intoxicated, but the only thing I was under the influence of was the love of a good woman. (Go ahead, you know you want to.) "AWWWWWWWWWW"
We knew each other for a few years before we started dating, and knew we had two common interests; motorcycles, and cooking.When I moved back to my hometown of Winchester I was really disappointed to find that there were, in my humble opinion, no places to get BBQ that was as good as I was used to.
That was a big problem for me, so I decided to come up with a solution. Make it myself! I mean, how hard could it be? Well my first few efforts were, hmm what's a gentle way of putting it, ok they were horrible. Slowly after a lot of experimentation, things got better. Friends started calling me asking "Hey, we're having a party, can you hook us up with a little pork, maybe some ribs ? At one such party, the first seeds of "Big Daddy's BBQ" were sown, and after being fertilized by half a bottle of special fertilizer distilled in the great State of Tennessee, began to germinate.
The supercharger to the growth showed up in 2007 in the form of Elaine. I had the meat down, and boy could Elaine make some awesome side dishes. Big Daddy and Little Momma started putting the pieces together. We started catering. A few short months later we bought a concession trailer and set up shop on Valley Ave. That turned out to be so successful that Elaine left her job and worked the trailer full time. We thrived because of Elaine's incredible work ethic, and in spite of my not so incredible work ethic. Shortly after we decided to take the plunge and open our restaurant.
It's been a helluva ride, and theres no way it would be possible without my wingman. Elaine has proven to be dedicated beyond belief, leaving me time to perform the role of handsome spokesmodel.
C'mon out and see us. We want to do everything we can to leave a good taste in your mouth, in more ways than one ! We look forward to seeing you!

We want you to enjoy your visit with us, and try to create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. The only rule we have is that everyone respect our establishment and our other guests. Improper behavior will not be tolerated.
